Who we are

konareef is operated by Bittoku KK at 44-1 Azabumamianacho 508, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0042, Japan. Questions about anything below: [email protected] (or [email protected]). If the company operating konareef changes, we will update this notice and the date at the top.

What we collect, and when

If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you type, the date and time, which form you used, the language version of the site you were reading, and the country your connection came from (we get this from your IP address; we do not store the IP address itself).

If you join the private beta, we also hold your session token, your publisher handle and public key, the reefpods you publish, records of the runs you make and what they cost, and any support correspondence with us.

Why we hold it

Waitlist details are used for one thing: to email you about konareef. We do that because you asked us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time. Beta data is what makes the service work — we could not run a pod for you or bill it against your credits without it.

Who else sees it

Four service providers are involved, and each sees a different part of what you give us: Cloudflare (hosting, our record of signups, and the page-view analytics described below), Loops (sending email — it holds your address and nothing else), Discord (a private team channel receives a notification containing your email address when you sign up), and Google Sheets (an internal copy of the list). These are located in the United States and elsewhere, which means your details leave your country. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.

How long we keep it

Waitlist details: until the konareef marketplace opens, or 24 months, whichever comes first. Beta data: for the beta, and 12 months afterwards, so we can answer questions about a run you made. Ask us to delete sooner and we will.

What you can ask us to do

Tell you what we hold about you; correct it; delete it; stop emailing you; or send you a copy. Email [email protected] (or [email protected]) and we will do it within 30 days, free. If you are in the UK or EU you can also complain to your national data-protection authority; in Singapore, the PDPC (the Personal Data Protection Commission).

Unsubscribing

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. If you are a beta tester, unsubscribing stops marketing email only — messages about your beta access keep coming, because you need them to use the service.

Cookies and analytics

We set no cookies.

We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits to our pages. It records the page you opened, the site you came from, your browser and device type, and your country. It sets no cookies, it does not fingerprint you, and it does not follow you to other sites. We use it to see which pages people read. If you block it, the site works exactly the same.

Your browser stores two small items so the site works: the language you chose, and a timestamp that stops the signup form being submitted repeatedly. Neither is sent to us or to anyone else, and neither identifies you.

Children

konareef is not for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their details.
